Joe Ambridge

Joe Ambridge, a London native, is the visionary founder of Ambridge Media. His journey into the media world began during his college days while studying Media Studies. It was here that he crafted numerous film scripts and stories, though he initially held back from pursuing them further. Everything changed when a colleague asked about his career dreams after graduation. With a spark of inspiration, he declared, "A Film Director." This pivotal moment led him to collaborate with DigiLabs Tooting, culminating in the release of his debut short film, "Anxious Me," in 2018. Joe's story is one of passion rediscovered and dreams brought to life!

History

Joe made his directorial debut with the poignant short film "Anxious Me," produced under the banner of Lion's Tail Productions. This powerful film features interviews with individuals grappling with anxiety and earned the prestigious title of Film of the Month from the Australian Short Film Network. Following this success, Joe moved to Melbourne, eager to assemble a talented team for upcoming projects.

However, health challenges prompted a brief return to the UK.

In 2019, Joe returned to Melbourne revitalised and ready to create. He unveiled his second film, "Anxious Me 2: A Therapist's Perspective," which includes an insightful interview with psychotherapist Mark Fielding. This film was a runner-up in the same competition that celebrated his first film. Alongside his filmmaking, Joe launched a video mental health podcast titled "#NeverAlone," hosted by Jordan Harbinson.

To capture the breadth of his creative endeavours, he rebranded his company as Lion's Tail MultiMedia, reflecting his commitment to diverse and impactful storytelling.named his company to Lion's Tail MultiMedia.

Now operating under the rebranded name Ambridge Media Australia, our mission is to craft both short and feature-length films that not only captivate audiences but also deliver original narratives that leave a lasting impact. In addition to our film projects, we are proud to produce the audio podcast #PsychotherapyUnfogged, previously known as #NeverAlone. This insightful series is hosted by Mark Fielding, a psychotherapist and relationship counsellor, who guides listeners through the complexities of mental health and well-being.

Megan joined our team in March 2023 as a Producer and has quickly taken on various roles, recently serving as both the Producer and Second Assistant Director for "I Miss You." She is known for her exceptional organisational skills, unwavering dedication, and tireless work ethic.

Theodore Thomas, Assistant Director & Screenwriter

Theodore, known as Teddy, joined our team during the era when we operated as Lion's Tail Productions. He stepped in as the Assistant Director for the #NeverAlone podcast, driven by a shared passion with Joe for supporting mental health initiatives. Teddy brings a diverse skill set to the table, excelling in directing and screenwriting, and has served as Assistant Director for several of Joe's projects. He is well-regarded for his strong work ethic, unwavering dedication, and remarkable ability to follow instructions.

Lina Ly, Locations Manager

In June 2023, Lina Ly became a valuable member of our team, taking on the role of Locations Manager. Lina's primary goal is to discover the ideal settings for each scene in our film projects, while also ensuring that they align with the project's budget. With her exceptional organizational skills and unwavering determination, Lina consistently finds the perfect locations that enhance the story being told.

Stephen Parker, Sound Technician/Boom Operator

During the production of Episode 2 of #NeverAlone, unexpected challenges arose when half our crew failed to show up. Stephen stepped in as an additional camera operator, ensuring the shoot progressed without disruption. His willingness to adapt and take on a critical role at short notice exemplified his resourcefulness and dedication.

At the conclusion of the shoot, Stephen unveiled his expertise as a sound recordist, marking the beginning of an invaluable partnership.

Since then, Stephen has become an indispensable member of our team, contributing his exceptional skills and unwavering commitment to every project. His meticulous approach to capturing pristine sound and ensuring crystal-clear dialogue elevates the quality of our productions.

In March 2023, Terry joined our team as the Script Continuity Supervisor, quickly establishing himself as an integral part of our creative process. Terry’s meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to continuity are especially invaluable during breaks in filming, as he ensures the project resumes flawlessly, preserving the integrity of the final product.
